Interviews
- Toshao, Deon Adams
Whitewater & Surrounding Villages
Toshao said of the food distribution, "on behalf of my people, I must say thanks" and "this is the first time things happen like that in this village".
He said he was happy to see so many of his people benefitting, especially single mothers & pensioners, as their money would go further.
He even mentioned that the 30-40 people who helped to transport the food stuff from the dock, refused payment, as they knew they were all benefitting as a community.

Diaspora Auxilium's pharmacy service provided a large variety of medication for the patients on-site. Some of the medication provided consisted of antibiotics, painkillers and antiparisitics.

Liver Transplant
A former classmate was suffering from end stage liver disease and needed to travel to India for a transplant. Again, our group did not hesitate to come together and provide support.
He needed about US$50,000 for the lifesaving procedure. Again, leveraging our network, we were able to secure almost $20,000 in discounts for his procedure, get airline miles donations for he and his donor (his wife) to travel to India, and raised $12,690 in cash contributions to help pay his medical bills.
The total net impact of US$34,500, has helped our colleague to move forward with his operation. He and his family have expressed their deepest gratitude.
